Deepen your skills as a product owner

If you’re already a Product Owner but you’re hungry to broaden your understanding and sharpen your skills, this is the course for you.

This A-CSPO course is about growing as a Product Owner. It takes you deeper into the techniques of product ownership and successful product delivery, with a focus on how you can become more skillful and effective. It involves plenty of practical challenges, thinking for yourself and thought-provoking discussion.

You’ll consider the more global aspects of product ownership – how to navigate a complex product development landscape, how to apply lean principles, and what aspects of your personal growth to focus on. This will involve learning a range of advanced tools in areas such as working with stakeholders, facilitation, collaboration techniques, scaling, advanced product validation, and advanced product backlog management.

How the course works?

You’ll experience a combination of workshop, applied learning on the job and reflective learning as part of online group coaching sessions. The workshop includes interactive exercises, real-life examples, and lively discussion. It will push you, challenge you, and get you thinking. But the most effective learning, the kind that permanently changes you, happens when you apply techniques and knowledge and reflect on your results.

So following the workshop you’ll have access to optional online coaching sessions in which you can reflect on how you are applying your knowledge and skills

Instructor

Mr. Zia Malik, Enterprise Agile Coach & Trainer based in UK.

For Zia Malik, organizational change doesn’t just mean adopting new processes and working in new ways. It isn’t even simply about thinking in new ways. True transformation requires challenging beliefs, and that means changing people from the inside.

Zia is one of a small number of UK Certified Enterprise Coaches with the Scrum Alliance, and an experienced agile trainer, Certified Scrum Trainer CST and professionally trained coach in business and personal coaching, accredited by the International Coach Federation. He has worked as an enterprise coach in a range of industries including fintech, aerospace, pharma and retail, working with individuals, teams and organizations.

He works with frameworks such as Scrum, but recognizes that these don’t exist in a vacuum. People work within them and adapt to them, and Zia spends much of his time focusing on the psychological motivations and barriers involved in personal and organizational change. Ultimately it’s about moving from structures and mindsets inherited from the Industrial Revolution towards a smarter way of organizing ourselves.

Zia’s training and coaching is both inspiring and thought-provoking, aimed at giving people a set of tools, techniques and concepts they can use to achieve and sustain genuine transformation
